Review
Three brothers Osso, Mastrosso and Carcagnoso, arrived in the middle of a starving community. Even if one is blind, he will find us in any darkness. The second has no ears but can hear all sounds. The third has no mouth and we should not talk to him. They demand blood to change the appetite of that society. With the brutal amputation of a woman’s eye and ear, a permanent solution to the society’s hunger is found. This sadistic ritual continues and in return, the brothers feed the starving people. These satanic type cult members are hunting our lead characters. (Elisa, Mark, Sofia and Riccardo).
They are car poolers who are on their way to a common destination. An accident occurs on their Campervan on the way. The accident happened near the road but the next day they woke up in the middle of the forest beside a creepy looking house. There must be people who endanger them. The story is about survival from it.
The movie shows all sorts of gruesome violence directly without hiding and it has succeeded in creating an eerie atmosphere in a dark tone. This movie is good for amateurs who want to study the technical aspects in making a horror movie. Especially the lighting setup, the horror background music and even the expression of characters and their costumes is what brings out the horror mood for this movie. Every horror movie has certain scenes the director use to register that scary feeling in the minds of audience’s and this movie has few of them. Some of such scenes are as follows.
This is just like every old horror story and I have not found anything new in terms of horror element through the movie. This movie has features of many horror movies like Hills have eyes, Texas Chain saw massacre, wrong turn, race with the devil and similar movies from the 60’s 70’s ad 80’s. Overall, this film is average and there is nothing much to review on it. Usually cliché movies like this tries to make the climax looks good but in this case even the climax does not give any amazing twists. (Actually, climax did not make any sense to me).
The makers of this movie tried to bring back memories of yester year horror flicks to the audience and for that, I give a thumbs up.
If you are having a day off, totally bored and has nothing to do, then this is a good ‘one-time watch movie’.
